in many cultures and time periods long before 20th century feminism.
Each week we will consider the legacy of women whose gifts to Jewish culture merit a place in our literature, our art and our spiritual life.

February 8th: Malka of Belz - 18th-19th century Eastern European Healer and miracle worker
February 15th: Penina Moise - early 19th century American Poet and educator
February 22nd: Bertha Pappenheim - Founder, Judische Freunbunde 1920’s Germany

Ordained in 1987, by Rabbi Zalman Schachter-Shalomi, Rabbi Leah Novick is author of “On the Wings of Shekhinah: Re-Discovering Judaism’s Divine Feminine" and creator of a CD of guided meditations with music by Desert Wind.
