Our fiscal year begins on July 1st.

If you’re able, please pay your dues in full on July 1st. We’re facing an even tighter than usual budget this year. Suggested full-year dues payment is $2500.

What we need to keep meet our expenses per member

If paying by check, make sure you write on the check that it is for payment of "DUES". You may also send us several post-dated checks at once, if more convenient.

This year, we have opened a TD Ameritrade account so members can support Chadeish Yameinu through stock donations.  (Stock Donation | chadeishyameinu)

Please email treasurer@cysantacruz.com for questions about our stock donation program and to update us on any planned transfers.

Finally, check to see if your employer has a “matching donation” program that allows you to multiply your dues support.  If your company does not have such a program, BENEVITY is one organization which we know of that will work with companies to set up this kind of  charitable giving program for employees.

Being a member of CY means you:

  • Support the ongoing existence of a vibrant, spiritual community that is available for everyone to plug into in his or her own way.

  • Make it possible to have our rabbi by helping raise the funds (through your dues) to pay him.

  • Are eligible to enroll your children in our school, bar/bat mitzvah program and youth group.

  • Have access to rabbinical advice and counseling.

  • Get free or lower admission to events.

  • Get our weekly newsletter, the Aleph Branch.

  • Have access to posting emails to the community listserv instead of read-only status.

  • Automatically become a member of ALEPH, the Alliance for Jewish Renewal.

  • Can participate in decision-making, join a committee or the Board of Directors.

  • Pay lower fees for lifecycle events.

  • Have access to our rabbi for mentoring in spiritual leadership skills and building your Jewish knowledge.

  • Help us provide free regular Shabbat services and free drop-in adult education classes.

  • Keep Jewish renewal alive in Santa Cruz for ourselves and our children.
