Beginning with a tasting of the foods we will learn to prepare, we will briefly explore what makes certain foods “Kosher for Passover” and what are some Nigerian Easter food traditions. Akindele will then teach us how to prepare three unique West African vegan dishes.

Akindele Akiva Bankole is a local restaurateur.  Born to a Yoruba family from Nigeria, his journey includes an interest in classical singing, music composition, food service, philosophy and the connections between Jewish & Yoruba religious thought.  His second vegan restaurant just opened in San Luis Obispo.
