Looking Jewish/Jewish Looking with Dana Peleg
The modern era has shaken and transformed Jewish life in the most terrible and the most inspiring ways.
In this series of six talks, we will explore Jewish art and artists from the last two centuries.
We will track the events that shaped the lives of artists from the 19th Century through our time. We will study early Reform Mauritz Oppenheim, Socialist Ben Shahn, Feminist Judy Chicago, Mizrahi activist Shula Keshet, and many more in between.
